Let me start by say­ing I am fine…now. But surgery did not go well.

For rea­sons unknown (I nev­er drank or got hepati­tis) I have end stage liv­er dis­ease. It’s most­ly under con­trol, although there are some things I need to start doing to take it much more seri­ous­ly. Under con­trol end stage liv­er dis­ease is still end stage liv­er dis­ease and that com­pli­cates every abdom­i­nal pro­ce­dure I might have. This all meant that I had some flu­id in my abdomen when they start­ed doing my surgery and it made some of the pro­ce­dure a lit­tle rough. They kept me in the hos­pi­tal for a while to mon­i­tor my con­di­tion, and then sent me home with very pow­er­ful meds. I’m only just return­ing to full lucid­i­ty.
